Dr. Afnan Boutrid
Our founder and co-director,
Dr Afnan Boutrid (Ed.D) has a wealth of experience in the education profession, both in the United States and Middle East region.
As a practicing Assistant Professor in academia, Afnan is passionate about bringing positive educational change to the Gulf region, complimenting educational theory with culturally sustained educational practices in the MENA.
Afnan specializes in curriculum design, assessment and culturally responsive teaching practices and is an active researcher, lead author and lecturer in Dubai, UAE. She holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Washington, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction in teacher education. As a thriving researcher, Afnan believes in the power of bridging the gap between theory and practice, ultimately bringing change and empowerment to the field of education. Afnan is also a current columnist at EduTimes Africa magazine. -
Stephanie Martin
With over 10 years experience in the education profession - both in Australian and international school systems - our founder and co-director Stephanie brings strong expertise in building and sustaining high quality pedagogical practices to enhance teaching and learning. Stephanie has a plethora of experience in designing and implementing assessment methods that foster 21st century learning skills. With a Master’s Degree in Education summa cum laude and as a current doctoral scholar and researcher, Stephanie’s passion lies in mentoring educators and driving the development of pedagogy frameworks that will promote quality learning experiences.
Her key areas of focus are assisting leaders in implementing research-based practices into educational organisations, preparing teachers for internal and external performance reviews, literacy program development, instructional design and behaviour management and leadership coaching in Australian and Middle Eastern schools. Stephanie is also a published co-author in the area of Ethics and Integrity in Teacher Education, a resident columnist at EduTimes Africa magazine and a dynamic international keynote speaker.
